Wool is an environmentally-friendly fibre which has the capacity to biodegrade in soil without harm to the environment and it can be recycled. Wool is an annually renewable natural resource grown on sheep. Wool products use a fraction of the energy of a comparable manmade material in production ensuring carbon dioxide emissions are kept low. Wool can be shipped easily in a high-density form, which creates a lower carbon footprint.
Clothing our children in wool allows their skin to breathe more easily. It keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer. Wool has the natural ability to breathe and absorb moisture due to its hydrophilic core. It is highly durable, non-flammable unlike almost all alternatives and provides inherent UV protection. Wool is a low allergy material and does not harbour dangerous chemicals, dust or mould that can lead to allergic or other reactions.
